Match the action to the event on screen, not to the previous round. A knife wants a labeled button. A wire manual wants a sentence. A gun or a vote wants a choice inside a different rule. Name the decision before you spend the timer on a card.
Sort the prompt first
| You see | Check | Then open |
|---|---|---|
| Dodge and die | The dodge label, not the clown animation | Knife Toss |
| Three numbered wires | The whole manual, including not | Bomb defusal guide |
| A bomb being passed | Whether you are the holder | Time Bomb |
| A button and a pass-right choice | How many passes have already happened | Bomb button |
| A player list and a gun or laser | Whether you are allowed to choose | Revolver or Laser Pointer |
| Spare, eliminate, or two names | What the vote protects | Voting events |
| Split and steal | The payoff table, not a promise in chat | Split or Steal |
Events can be removed from rotation. A missing name is not proof the event was deleted forever.
Choices that are easy to reverse
Knife Toss eliminates you if you miss dodge or if you select die. The control and the clown can sit in different parts of the screen. On a small display, keep another menu off the prompt.
Revolver with music: if you do not choose, the clown shoots the gun holder. Revolver without music: a timeout aims at a random player instead. Laser Pointer: a timeout lets the clown pick a random target. In all three, the shot can jam or fire. Choosing a player is not a guaranteed elimination.
Duels give two players guns. If time runs out, both are eliminated. Blank does not work here. Do not import ordinary-round protection.
Spare or Eliminate lets living and dead players vote, and the counts are visible during the vote. Eliminate/Spare Secret hides the choices until time runs out, and dead players cannot vote. If you have no voting control, check eligibility before you hunt for a hidden button. A visible count is not a locked result. A tie rule was not in the event description used here. A different write-up mentioned a coin toss on a tied vote, so do not assume one tie breaker.
Multi-Vote asks you to vote for the player you want to spare. The candidate with fewer votes is eliminated. Selecting a dangerous player's name can help that player survive. The reference does not specify a tie rule.
Split or Steal has three described outcomes. Both split: each player receives a card. One steals and the other splits: the thief receives the other player's cards plus one new card. Both steal: nothing happens. You cannot know the other choice because someone promised it.
Life Saver passes a green pointer. The holder chooses someone to save, and that saved player receives the pointer. This continues until half of the living players are safe, rounded upward. The clown then eliminates one random player who is not safe. The original holder is not safe by default. With seven living players, the rounding makes four players safe. It does not eliminate all three who remain.
Chained links two players and gives them the Chained card. If one is eliminated, the other has a high chance of being eliminated too. That is a chance, not a guarantee. A link can make an elimination you wanted into a problem for you.
Clown Hostage takes a player and sets a card quota from 3 to 11, scaled by how many cards the table is holding. Other players can turn cards in. The quota is revealed after a short time. Meeting it returns the hostage. Missing it gets the hostage shot. Jester does not work in this event.
Card events are not one decision
Choose a Card shows three cards and lets you keep one. Free Card gives one random card with no selection. Pick a Card shows five cards: one fires a shotgun and eliminates you, one jams, and three are obtainable cards. Card Risk offers a positive card in exchange for a shot. The event reference calls that shot a 1 in 3 chance. That figure is a community description, not a rate measured for this page. Accepting every offer is not a winning strategy.
Fire Breathing asks the selected player to click a moving button until the fire is out. Multi-Saw puts two players on saws: your button slows your saw and speeds the opponent's, and a critical button is described as more effective. Follow the control. Do not replace it with a card click, and do not invent a required clicks-per-second number.
Angry Clown picks a player for the clown to eliminate. The gun can jam or fire.
Puppet in the Box is the rare event named by the badge, which asks for +3 cards. A table note placed a 6-card payout next to Double Cards. Treat the doubled payout as reported for that mode and still read the live result. The badge does not unlock on a normal card deal.
Seasonal rows are shorter. Two Pumpkins, at Halloween, has two players throw pumpkins. The first player to catch both at once dies. Three Roses, for Valentine's Day, gives three players a rose to give to another player. The rest of that instruction was not in the extract. Pianist, from April Fools 2026, has one player perform and then a spare-or-eliminate vote on the song. Flashbang was announced in the same update without a mechanical description beyond a reference to an old tutorial.
When a defense fails
Write down the event name, the prompt, the card text, the input you made, and the result. A missed word such as not is a reading error. An expired counter is a duration error. A duel is a scope error if you were relying on Blank. I had a good card does not answer those checks.
The individual rules are on each event page. The hand is covered in cards.
